A beautiful traditional ’trullo’ farmhouse, Casa Castagno is located in the picturesque Puglian countryside, an undulating landscape of arable farmland, only ten minutes drive from the town of Alberobello with its charming streets of ’trulli’, restaurants and bars. The house has been renovated and lovingly restored to a very high standard, preserving the conical roofed trulli unique to Puglia, but incorporating modern design of a barn conversion which creates a stylish, spacious interior. The stone floors that run throughout the house extend to the spacious terraces, perfect for outside dining. The stunning fitted kitchen has a huge dining table that comfortably seats 10 and makes for very sociable indoor dining. The lounge area is equipped with comfortable sofas, TV, DVD and stereo. Leading off the lounge area is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a fabulous free-standing bath and separate shower. The other 3 double/ twin bedrooms are in the barn section of the house (accessed by an external door) and each have en suite shower room. All the five bedrooms have air conditioning. The brand new swimming pool is set just below the house, immersed in the picturesque countryside. The pool is accessed via a small gate, making it safer for small children. There is ample space for sun loungers. The trullo is equipped with all modern facilities needed for a self catering holiday. Set amongst picturesque olive groves with lovely views over the surrounding countryside, this trullo and lamia is a delightful addition to our portfolio. Newly restored in 2009, Trullo Savarasti has been furnished with exquisite taste to create a relaxing holiday home in an attractive mix of Colonial and Mediterranean styles. It has a private swimming pool with an inviting gazebo and a shaded outdoor dining area. Situated between the towns of Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ceglie Messapica, the trullo is within easy reach of the many interesting sites that Puglia has to offer. It is also only 20km from the Adriatic coast with its sandy beaches. This three bedroom, three bathroom home has a spacious and comfortable sitting room with TV & DVD and large windows that overlook the garden. The modern kitchen/dining room is well-equipped with dishwasher, gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, a dining table that seats 8 and leads directly onto the terrace with a covered dining area. There are two double bedrooms, each with en suite shower, one of which is located in the original three cones of the trullo. The third bedroom has an en suite bathroom and can sleep up to 4 people, but it can be made up as a twin, triple or quad according to the needs of individual guests. The owners have furnished the property to a high standard and the feel of the house is very inviting throughout. Gentle stone steps lead up to the swimming pool directly from the pergola dining areas. The pool is surrounded by olive trees and open fields, so you can truly relax in the natural beauty of Southern Italy.
