Just a few miles inland from the coast, the picturesque old Roman town of Pollensa offers a traditional Mallorcan experience. Wander around its narrow cobbled streets, discover crafts and clothes shops and join in the relaxed café life – Spanish style. You can purchase fruit, vegetables, cheese and olives direct from the farmers at the Sunday market, which is located on the Placa Major and the maze of little streets leading up to the Calvari steps. At the top of the steps, you’ll find the Calvari church and spectacular views across the town to the convent at Puig de Maria.
